Congratulations are in order for this year's committee on being nominated for Best Small Society at the annual CSC Society of the Year awards. Best wishes extended also to long-running DUGES chair Harriet Johnson who was shortlisted for Best Individual. (A lot of people would say Ms Johnson deserved to win, but DUGES couldn't possibly comment.)
The 2007 ceremony saw DUGES receive an award for Best Website. Not bad for a society barely past its first birthday! Well done, everyone...

- In February 2007, DU Gender Equality Society (DUGES) was founded in the interests of celebrating and preserving gender equality on and off campus. We are proud to have hosted guest speakers as diverse as Ivana Bacik, Kim Prost, Alison Smale, Maryann Valiulis, Maeve Kyle and representatives from Unmarried Fathers of Ireland.
